Blessings Mix

Happy Thanksgiving!
(I know,  I'm over a week late but I didn't want to go without saying it!)
I hope your Thanksgiving was filled with Family, Food and Gratefulness!
We have been blessed with so much!

These fun treats called 'Blessings Mix' are what Reese handed out to her classmates and to family on Thanksgiving Day.
Such a cute idea and Carmel Potatoes has a printable over here!

These Blessings Mix were easy to put together for a fun Thanksgiving treat. All the ingredients were found at the grocery store and the tags were easy to print and cut out. They were the perfect size for snack size baggies.
(Tuck this idea away for next years Thanksgiving get-together!)

Friday Fun- Turkey Cups

Turkey cups will be a fun addition to any Thanksgiving table!

I combined a few ideas I recently saw and here's what fun the kids and I came up with on this Fun Friday...

What You'll Need:
Scissors (the Mommy and the kid kind)
Pencil
Googly Eyes
Disposable Cups
Glue
Scrap paper

Here's How:
1.Trace

2. Cut
In addition to cutting the turkey hand feathers, you will need a yellow beak, a red gizzard, and a brown circle just big enough to hold the turkey face.

3. Glue
(Oh yeah, this is were I regretted doing this little project in the living room....)
You're probably thinking it was one of the little helping hands that did this, but no. It was the Mommy squeezing a little too hard on the glue bottle. Table, floor, couch and more...

Clean up and back to gluing...

And wha-la!
Turkey cups! We'll be using ours for snacks...

Thanksgiving is on Thursday- Thankful Tree

Thanksgiving is one week away!

I'm sure you are hearing all about what people are thankful for. Why not diplay what you are thankful for as a table center piece or entry decor?

Thankful Tree

I simply stuck twigs in a glass candle holder and used artifical pumpkins as filler. My twigs were bought but if you have trees, which we don't, real twigs would be nice too! Then I cut out leaves in various colors and inked the edges.
My empty leaves are awaiting 'Thankful' things to be written.

I added other decor to make this a centerpiece for the table.

Thanksgiving in on Thursday

Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away!

Do you have any table place card ideas? Let me share some of mine....

Sugar Cookie Initial 'Place Cards'
(Cause who doesn't want a sugar cookie made just for them?)

And they are fun to make...

A more formal way to initial the place setting....

A pen is not a usual Thanksgiving utensil but, if you are sharing what you are thankful for, it might be nice to add. Tie a paper tag to the pen with the saying, "Reese is thankful for.." and let them fill in the rest.

Simple Paper Leaf....

Inexpensive paper napkin holder with the name written on....

Two in one! Name place card and napkin ring....

Mini Chalkboards....
(This might be a fun addition to the 'kids table')
(I show you how to make the chalkboards here.)

Bringing in nature, adding twigs to your napkins with a paper leaf for the name.....

I hope I have inspired you to create a unique Thanksgiving table!
